About Us

Founded in 1999 our mission has been to provide a place of welcome, dignity, respect and safety where Survivors who were abused in institutions can feel supported and empowered.

We help on a healing journey as you endeavor to rebuild your life. We aim to achieve this through free classes, personal development, holistics and creativity. Our Centre will always be a place where people are not alone or made to feel different, we can all stand together with other Survivors.

What We Do

We provide support services to Survivors and their families from religious and state-run institutions including those who were in Industrial Schools, reformatories, orphanages, Mother and Baby Institutions as well as Magdalene Laundries.

We offer support, a refuge, a lifeline and free classes where survivors can learn new skills such as using smart phones and computers to connect with family and friends. We also offer a space where Survivors can meet new people who understand what they have experienced. Therapies include art therapy, drama, and holistics.

Originally known as Aislinn Education and Support Centre, our Centre has assisted Survivors by providing a listening ear and homely place where Survivors can meet others who have suffered similar experiences.

Our vision is an Irish society where people are able to cope with the trauma that they have experienced in their early lives.

Every day we work towards this vision. It’s what drives us. Every staff member is kind and has the skillset to handle any situation as it is presented, and if they come across something they need help in assisting, they find a way.
